Sean Grosman Ready for Busy Fall Velocity Weekend

NORTH MIAMI, FL - Multi-time Sunset Speedway Limited Late Model winner and Multi-time Sunset Speedway Outlaw Super Late Model winner, Sean Grosman will see action in a pair of divisions this coming weekend, with the SMG Motorsports leader having filed entry for both the Pro Late Model and Outlaw Super Late Model divisions at Sunset Speedway’s ‘Fall Velocity’ season finale.

“This is going to be my first time in a Pro Late (Model) at Sunset, so I’m real excited to see what we can do as a team to cut the learning curve and hit the ground running,” notes Grosman.

The Florida businessman will be behind the wheel of the same McColl Racing Enterprises chassis that teammate Ryan Kimball has piloted all season on the APC United Late Model Series tour and weekly at Sunset Speedway. And, as such, will have access to a myriad of notes that the team has compiled over the course of 2021.

“Jumping into a car that Ryan and (Crew Chief) Graham Annis are so familiar with gives me a ton of confidence going into this weekend,” explains ‘The Frequent Flyer’. “Being able to lean on those two - along with the rest of our team - is an indescribable advantage. I know that I’m in good hands with these guys and I’m really looking forward to getting up to speed with this car”

And, while Grosman will work to cut the inevitable learning curve of his first Pro Late Model start at Sunset, he’ll also make laps behind the wheel of the same Outlaw Super Late Model that he has shown considerable speed in over the last several seasons.

“I’m very excited to run our Super Late Model because I know how good of a piece it is,” says Grosman. “There’s no question in my mind that it’s good enough to win this weekend”

“I think there’s going to be a very deep field of some of the best Super Late Model talent in Ontario at this event. It’s not going to be easy by any stretch. But, we always run well with the Outlaw car there and I don’t think this weekend will be any different”

For Grosman, racing two cars in a single weekend is undoubtedly a considerable undertaking, however it’s something he knew he wanted to do in order to support Sunset’s biggest event.

“The (Fall) Velocity is traditionally the biggest show on the Sunset schedule and I wanted to do everything I could to get behind it. Our team will be out in full force with both of our Pro Late Models and our Super Late Model”

“It’s a huge weekend of racing and it’s absolutely a win that we want to add to our resume,” continues the veteran. “I’ve got the best equipment I could ask for and I have the best that I’ve ever worked with. I believe, with everything in me, that we have a legitimate shot at competing for wins in both races (on Sunday) and I can’t wait to get the weekend started”

Grosman’s SMG Motorsports venture is sponsored by GTA Racing Designs, Flat Head Designs, McColl Racing Enterprises, Nova Race Engines and Magnus Performance Products.
